Christmas!!!!!!

"....Santa is coming to town...." as my little brother sings happily that Christmas is right around the corner!

"....Oh boy! Santa is coming... what fun!!!" explains my friends that have celebrated Christmas for almost 13 or 14 years.

"....Yeah! more presents to buy, Yippee Santa gets to come, hopefully there is something there for me..." wishing hopefully that they can get something in return for all of there hard work for Christmas.

As everyone is getting ready for Christmas, everyone is going to get more and more excited that they get to spend the holidays with there family and friends and make sure that they are having a great time! Most times little kids are excited for Santa to come, but as they get older, they get the news broken to them. They are sad that they don't realize how much some of the older kids they know still want to know Santa Claus is real. So this Christmas, celebrate how you want to celebrate it and let all of your wishes come true!!!!!!

Refrigerator Pies

Painted by Wayne Thiebaud

As I take a seat in the living room
Thinking why I don't want anything…….
But pie.
Just. Pie.
Shelves and shelves of pie sit in my fridge.
Not good enough for my mother to accept
That I’m fond of pie
I wish for pie
Something that we all resist
Just an appetizing, thanksgiving desert that we all have every year
Those poor Thanksgiving pies that aren’t able to be seen anymore
All of those people that worship paintings of pie are sad
Nothing we can do
Fills our mouth with a sweet and savory taste
I have a piece
Delightful
What delectable refrigerator pies
Anything that I could do to have these come back
I adore the piece, gaze at it bit by bit
Scrumptious
My mother still doesn’t like me eating them

All of his art seems to “POP”
To real life
Amazing all of us in its mouth-watering feel
With the pop art he does
Just using oil and a canvas,
All made by Wayne Thiebaud
Since the day he was born
In 1920, his pies are wonderful
That was when we all knew he could make such great pies
Pies that no one can sacrifice ever
Never.
From pies and pastries to toys and other objects
Everyone will miss him
Then came 2007 and no one was able to enjoy his pies anymore
What a sad moment
I still want pie
That we will all desire
Thinking of pie makes me picture that there are always magnificent pies
For all to go around

Is cheerleading a Sport?

Have you ever thought if cheerleading is really a sport? Well if you are thinking it is not a real sport, think again, it is a sport.  There is strategy in it like every other sport uses, like memorizing the cheers for example. Every cheerleader has to remember each and everyone of the cheers to get the crowd happy and excited for each of the teams that they are cheering for. Another strategy that each cheerleader has to do is read your audience, for example if they are not excited or if they are excited they want to keep it that way. If they are just sitting there, they want to keep them very happy that our team is playing their hardest. Cheerleaders have to know how each stunt goes and when they are suppose to do it. Like for example when they do a touchdown cheer, they have to remember how they do it otherwise the fans will never know what is going on and they think that you do not know what just happened. The stunts make the crowd more energetic and then they want to keep cheering on our team so that they know that there is always something good going on for them.
Like every other team, cheerleaders go to competitions. Football players compete to win a game. Cheerleaders compete to win a competition to see which squad is the most preppy and happy squad around. Each and every competition is put together like the super-bowl. People want to watch and see who wins and see who made it through without loosing one game. Well that’s like a cheerleading competition, but it isn't football. These cheerleaders practice and practice for hours and hours, day by day, week by week, and so on, but what some people don't think of is how much time and effort they put into it, so that's why they say it's not really a sport when it is. Like every other sport, cheerleading is a sport where they can get very injured and may never be able to compete again. In football guys get very hurt and will never be able to play again because they got it bad, that is the same way with cheerleaders. Doing what you love, is something that everyone likes doing, but not always a good thing when you get injured.
The injuries in cheerleading are really bad. It has more injuries than actual American Football and more injuries than rugby. Think of it this way, when your feet are first 5 or 6 feet already in the air and your head is probably 9 or 10 feet up in the air, and your bases aren't able to hold you any longer what do you think will happen when the flyer falls forward and no one will catch them? They are going to get very injured and may have to quite all of their sports they where playing because they have to be careful for the rest of their life. So now are you changing your mind about cheerleading being a real sport???? Well stunting is like getting tackled by a 200 pound guy without any padding on, yeah you are going to get hurt like every other sport you see. That is the same way with cheerleading and it causes more deaths and permanent injuries that could cause families moments in life that make them fell sad about their son or daughter.
Why is cheerleading a sport? It is a sport because, think of all of the other sports that you see on
T.V. or go too, people get hurt that think of ways to beat the other team. Well that is the same thing with cheerleading. If you every think of ways that cheerleading can't be a sport, well that will make you even wonder more if they use it. Pretty much everything that you use in cheerleading, you use in any other sport you see. So next time if you see someone and they are wondering if it is a sport, and they are saying no, correct them and give them examples on how it is just like any other sport you see with injuries and strategies.

Ponyboy Curtis

Ponyboy Curtis, the main character of the story and the neophyte of the Greasers, is a guy that loves to do some things that are different from what the Greasers like to do. He likes to read, go to movies and fun activities that teens like to do. Most of the time when he is bored he is usually reading or painting a picture. As time went on, he liked to do things with the Greasers. However, everything they did, he did not approve of because he is not the kind of guy that likes getting into trouble by the police. Then when he tries to get out of it he talks baloney. There were times where they always did things when they did something he went with it but he didn't really like it because he knew with all of his intelligence that someone was going to come and get them. If eluded, he knew that someone was going to come looking for them because they were missing. The thing was that when he did things alone because he didn’t want to get into a lot of trouble, the Socs would come and finds him and then hurt him because if the Socs ever saw a Greaser alone that meant that they were able to hurt the person, because there was no one around to help.
Ponyboy was one of the outsiders of the towns. With all of the other Outsiders, also known as the Greasers, he was the outsider of the group. The thing was, that whenever he got hurt, the rest of them where there for him, because he was the youngest one of the group. His oldest brother was always there to watch out for him, because all three of the Curtis boys where all out together and never really with their parents. A lot of the time he and his brothers were on their own and had to figure somethings out by themself. If anything happened to them the police or the Socs would be coming to find them and take them as the police would do, but on the other hand, the Socs would be trying to pick a fight with them. It was never best moments of their life if they were doing something. They were known as "white trash with greasy hair" and the Socs where "white trash with mustangs." They always had mean and hurtful names for each-other.
When Ponyboy and his brother Johny run away, they had killed someone. Johny didn't really approve of killing someone. Ponyboy didn't really like doing that because someone lost their life and they didn't get to live it out like others got to live theirs out. When the death happened, all of these thoughts probably  ran through his mind so he got really emotional and felt guilty for something that he did do. He probably thought of how many people would be mad about how he wouldn't be able to have his first wife, or even have a family. Some of his thoughts could have been, "all of his friends and family don't get to see him anymore," or "he could haunt me the rest of my life, because I hurt him." Lots of hearts where torn apart by that and Ponyboy just wanted to go hide from somewhere where no one would be able to find him.
Ponyboy and the rest of the Greasers where like one big happy family. The gang was something where it was just three brothers that had no parents and some friends to be with them while they don’t have a family either. They acted like they were brothers, they acted like they were just family and they always wanted to help each other no matter how good or how ugly it was looking. If one of them got into a fight with a Soc or got really hurt and had to get medical treatment, they where there to help no matter what happened. A part in the story, Ponyboy got really sick and couldn’t do anything like read his friends a book, because they aren't able to, or even tell them interesting stories. So the rest of the gang was able to help him out by doing a good part to help him get well.
This story may have some violence, some conflicts, or even some worse enough parts where you don't even want to keep reading, but it tells a story inside of a story. Friends are Friends, true friends are there when you need them without even asking, and family is another thing where you don't even need to be by them to have them know that you are in trouble and need their help. Ponyboy Curtis is one of those characters that learn that true friends are always going to be there and his brothers no matter what happens will always be on his side. He learned that no matter what happens, he's got true friends and family to help him no matter what happens to him.

WALKING TACOS :)

As we look threw the door of Ms. Johannes door and everyone is freaking out because there is someone or something in the room. No one knows what or who it is. So as we know it someone walks in and notices that it is a walking taco that doesn't have anyone to be with. He doesn't have anyone to be friends with, because everyone thinks that he is really weird. The walking tacos name is Tacki. Tacki is one of those tacos that do not know how to control himself when it comes to other tacos being chosen before him, because he is not the taco that has the right kind of food inside of him. He is always chosen last and he never gets eaten. The people that always end up with him, never end up eating him because he smells like something that you never really want to smell. It's so disturbing that you can't even stand 20 feet away from it. After they get that taco, they end up throwing Tacki away as soon as they get that taco so, he always ends up going from school to school, child to child, trashcan to trashcan, and he always just wanted to leave all the schools so that he could have a life of his own. So one day, he finally just got up and walked right out of one of the schools. And now he was never seen again.

JOURNAL: October 25

I believe that the people in this world should be lucky with what they've got and should not always want more that is the significance in life. There are people in this world that always want more and more and they are never happy with what they have and they want more to make themselves happier. There are other people in this world that are perfectly happy with everything they have and they don't always want more to make themselves feel good about them self and they don't always want more stuff because they have their family with them to make them feel good about them self. There are others in this world that are right in the middle of both of those groups. Those kind of people like having more stuff but then when they get to much for them self, then they don't want anymore things, just because they don't feel right about getting more things. Most normal people, not the wealthy, but most of the other people in the world are happy enough with what they've got and not always wanting more to make them self feel well. The other people like having more but that isn't the point, when you are getting something, get something as a treat for doing something good or better than you use to do it. Just when you are wanting more things, just think do you want more or do you just want to make your self happy because it is something you really want. Just think to yourself that when you are getting something new, there ARE people in this world that are can't get anything new because they can't. So next time, make sure that when you have a chance to help someone help them, when there is something in need of something, help them, when there are people that need something to make their health better, help!

Does Patriotism Matter?

Nowadays, does our country still have patriotism? Or . . . do we not care about what we do and boss others around, that are innocent and did nothing do hurt us? There are people in this world that aren’t getting treated as fairly as people in the United States. Also there are people in the United States that aren’t getting treated as fairly as other countries in this world. In this time, this second, this world, there are people that are getting made fun of because of their skin color, and their personality. Think of it this way: when you are a different size than everyone else you know and don’t have the same looks as others, you get made fun of it that way. That is going on in these teenage years but in the real world there is a lot of different bullying going on and it does matter. It matters because there are people that have a different skin color as others and then people don’t want to treat them the same as they would treat their closest friends There are people in this country that are very loyal to this country and that respect their ruler. However, there are people in the United States of America that aren’t respectful to our president, because he is an African American and has darker skin, in other words there are people that don’t want to treat him the same way those people want to be treated. Also there are people that are treated differently because of their religion. It doesn’t matter what their religion is, we need to be respectful for different thoughts of what they want to believe and what they don’t want to believe. Do I think patriotism matters? Yes, I do, because if we are true patriots of this country then we need to respect each other race, religion and other individual’s differences. Being a good citizen of this country means to respect our leader, and work together for the changes we want. So next time you see a friend, or someone take a spot and help. This is what patriotism means to me.

"The Lie"

The lie is getting bigger as it they get closer and closer to the school. All Eli wants to do is slouch in his seat. The scene doesn’t look to pretty when his mother is questioning him about if he thinks he’s going to have fun at this school and saying that he is going to be the 31st guy in his family to go to this high school. The lie doesn’t want to be told to his parents, because all he can think about is how they are going to react when they realize he didn’t get accepted into the school. Lying isn’t the smartest thing to do in your life; it is better to tell the truth, so tell the truth. When Eli, the main character, first got his letter from Whitehill School, he saw that he didn’t get into the school. So he tore the letter up and threw it away, and never let his parents know that he didn’t get into the school. When they were on their way to the school, his mom and dad where wanting to see if he was going to have fun at the school and that he would be away from his parents for awhile and being back only on breaks to visit. The whole time, he was feeling guilty that he was keeping it a secret that he never even got in because he never passed the test he had to take at the beginning of the year. When his mom wanted to figure out how many Remenzels went to Whitehill High School, his dad was saying that he could be the 31st Remenzel to go to this school.
When they first arrived at the school, they asked to check in and they said that Eli never made it into Whitehill High School. After that, Mr. and Mrs. Remenzels reactions both changed and got very fierce. When they went to check Eli in, Eli stayed in the car just so that he didn’t have to see their reactions when they found out that he never made it into the high school. So when everything got explained to his parents, they did find out that he got the letter and tore it up so that his parents didn’t have to see his grade and that he never made it in, so Eli kept it a secret. Even though Eli didn’t want to tell his parents that he never made it into the high school he should have just let the packet be so that he didn’t have to keep the lie from them and he wouldn’t feel as guilty as he did on the whole way to the school.
The author had this story this way, because when early teens like us, for example, read this, they will learn that it is not a good thing to lie to their parents. When it comes to schooling and education like this, lying isn’t the smartest and greatest thing to do, because that means that his parents have to find him a different school to go to and Eli ruined the pattern of his family going to this school. Another reason that this author put it this way is that it could have happened to him and he wanted other people to know what could happen or that worse could always occur to them. Keeping a big lie like that isn’t a good thing to do, especially in this case, because Eli’s family and himself had to take their time and drive him to the school. So when his parents found out that he didn’t get into the school, their reactions could have been much worse. We are lucky that we weren’t in that case, because not knowing what our parents would do, that wouldn’t a smart move. When the lie is getting bigger and bigger, the secret has turned into a lie, you don’t want your parents to find out that you didn’t get into a really good school. So the lie is getting bigger and bigger as the ride to the school gets longer and longer by keeping the lie and not telling your parents that you never passed the test. The lie gets broken when the school has to tell Eli’s parents that he never got into the school. The reactions he saw were a good punishment because never told the truth.

The lie

The lie is getting bigger as they get closer and closer to the school.
