Refrigerator Pies

Painted by Wayne Thiebaud

As I take a seat in the living room
Thinking why I don't want anything…….
But pie.
Just. Pie.
Shelves and shelves of pie sit in my fridge.
Not good enough for my mother to accept
That I’m fond of pie
I wish for pie
Something that we all resist
Just an appetizing, thanksgiving desert that we all have every year
Those poor Thanksgiving pies that aren’t able to be seen anymore
All of those people that worship paintings of pie are sad
Nothing we can do
Fills our mouth with a sweet and savory taste
I have a piece
Delightful
What delectable refrigerator pies
Anything that I could do to have these come back
I adore the piece, gaze at it bit by bit
Scrumptious
My mother still doesn’t like me eating them

All of his art seems to “POP”
To real life
Amazing all of us in its mouth-watering feel
With the pop art he does
Just using oil and a canvas,
All made by Wayne Thiebaud
Since the day he was born
In 1920, his pies are wonderful
That was when we all knew he could make such great pies
Pies that no one can sacrifice ever
Never.
From pies and pastries to toys and other objects
Everyone will miss him
Then came 2007 and no one was able to enjoy his pies anymore
What a sad moment
I still want pie
That we will all desire
Thinking of pie makes me picture that there are always magnificent pies
For all to go around
